IN DOGS AND CATS: CLINICAL DATA ON  Dog-Cat GASTRAFATE

Following a four year practice-based field testing throughout the US (48 states) involving total of 83,380 doses to 3,952 dogs and 53,005 doses to 2,248 cats by 197 veterinarians.  There were no adverse effects reported, with 88% and 78% efficacy respectively for dogs and cats with vomiting and diarrhea.
 

The spectrum of illness occasioned by food avoidance, vomiting, ileus, distention and diarrhea included gastritis, esophagitis, suspected ulcers, hemorrhagic enterocolitis, Parvovirus colitis  as well as idiopathic and bacterial colitis.
